One more week of waiting!!

It is hard to imagine after two years of planning and saving for this trip it is only one week away.  Everything is booked, paid for and now I just have to get there!!

The 2014 European Posse Ride will take me over the big pond and to places I never imagined I would ever get to see.  I have wanted to go to Europe since I was 17.  It totally fascinates me - all the history and the beautiful country sides that I will see.  The history is hard to imagine when Canada itself is less than 150 years old.  The castles and buildings that I hope to see may be older than 1,000 years!  Very hard to imagine!

So for this year's trip the 2014 European Posse Ride agenda will travel through Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain!  The ride itself is organized from July 5th to 20th.  The group that has organized this trip has also taken into consideration that some people will need to rent bikes and will arrive earlier than the 5th of July.  So I depart Canada on Canada Day and arrive July 2nd in Brussels, Belgium.  Yes of course there is a party upon my arrival (just for me of course, not!).

On July 3rd the group heads out and arrives in Berlin, Germany for the 4th of July.  Another party is scheduled in Berlin for the early arrivals of the Posse Ride!  So two nights in Berlin - thank God as I will need a rest after partying two nights in such a short time.  Then the fun begins going through the mountains of Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain.  The ride is dedicated to the Big 3 mountain ranges, the Alps, the Vosges and the Pyrenees.  Most if not all roads will be the back roads or secondary highways so the views and scenery will be spectacular!

So I have started to pack and set things aside that I think I might like to bring as the next few days will be busy getting things cleaned up at work and on the weekend we will be celebrating at a stag and doe for my niece Emily and her fiance Andrew.  So excited that it is finally arriving.  I am really not sure how the staff at work have put up with me for the last two years as I have been talking about it forever and I am sure they will be glad to see me go!  LOL
